Pavco Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina, has acquired Mentor, Ohio-based Plating Process Systems (PPS), combining two companies that Pavco president Scott Pavlish says will ofer the metal fnishing industry one of the most comprehensive lines of technologies for both functional and decorative fnishes. "PPS's long standing focus and leadership in decorative is just a natural ft for Pavco that rounds out our company beauti- fully," Pavlish says. "This will be an asset to the industry moving forward." The alliance of Pavco and PPS combines fnishing technology leaders that hope to seamlessly serve all levels of industry world- wide. Pavlish says that with both company's prominences in two distinct areas—functional and decorative—a stronger and more technology-adept partnership emerged. "As the industry consolidates, it is more important than ever to provide our partners with the most advanced products across the full spectrum of functional and decorative fnishing markets," he says. "We are very excited to immediately expand the reach of PPS products around the world through our existing channels." PPS began in 1985 with a focus on developing advanced decorative fnishing technologies. The company quickly grew to become a market leader in decorative fnishes that met both market and regulatory directives. Pavlish says the ongoing innovation of PPS is exhibited with its oferings of white satin, acid copper, trivalent chrome and trivalent black chrome processes. He says that having an industry-leading decorative ofering is an important strategic complement for Pavco's existing distribution chain, and that he is "completely committed" to combining the resources of PPS and Pavco to support the industry. "We've always taken tremendous pride in our long standing relationships with our distributors and customers," he says.
