PRODUCTS FINISHING — pfonline.com 35 Snyder's Anode Cell Design Improves the E-coat Process Synder Filtration's anode cell de- sign is engineered for electrocoat applications. The company claims this design will optimize the elec- trocoating process and improve the eficiency of paint flm build. This new tubular anode cell consists of a more robust top cap design and improved internal modifcations, ofering better electrical contact and less restric- tion on the anolyte return fow. In addition, an improved design of the polypropylene outer guard is available for both the 1.5" and 2" TechCell anodes. This outer guard is fush cut with the collar and bottom cup to eliminate the use of clamps, providing greater ease in anode cell maintenance. The newly designed anode cells have the same robust anionic membrane to efectively remove excess acid from the paint bath. These systems can handle high volume plating, electrocoating, auto-depostion coating, powder coating, liquid spray painting, cleaning, pretreatment and heat treating operations. The SST coat- ing system also reduces the amount of floor space needed and enables increased load density. Because of the SST's modular construction, the company says the system can be installed quickly with automatic voltage control to reduce paint costs.
