Flexible Honing Tool Can Finish,
Deburr in Single Setup
Brush Research Manufacturing will display the Flex-Hone, a flex-
ible honing tool that can finish and deburr simultaneously in a
single setup. Well-suited for cross-hole deburring, the tool offers
soƞ cutting action in a non-directional or cross-hatched pattern.
It can be run on virtually any rotating spindle, and is designed for
a variety of automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial ap-
plications. Hones in 400, 600 and 800 grit are available for finer
surface-finishing tolerances, producing single-digit Ra finishes,
the company says. Diamond abrasive also is available to finish
and produce the proper edge radius on harder materials such
carbide, ceramic and aerospace steel alloys.
