Optimum and repeatable cleaning performance is critical
to surface finishing success. A precise pretreatment
cycle formulated for your specific application is the
most important safeguard against plating failures and
customer returns.
At Asterion we provide customized soak, spray and
electrocleaning process solutions which deliver cost-
effective, fast removal of soils and contaminants from
steel, copper alloys, zinc die cast and other substrates.
Featuring phosphate and p-free cleaners, the non-
chelated processes impart water-break free surfaces for
subsequent plating.
Suited for both rack and barrel operations, Asterion
pretreatment processes offer high oil retention and
ease of handling. Let us help you achieve pretreatment
precision. Contact answers@asterionstc.net

Spray Washer Technology Eliminates Discharge
Houghton International's zero-discharge system is designed
to eliminate all process water discharge from spray washers,
combining its Houghto-Clean, Houghto-Prep ZP and Houghto-
Seal technologies, which provide low conductivity in processing
baths. This combination of low bath solids is key to reducing the
volume of incoming water normally associated with traditional
conversion coating processes, the company says. All the chem-
istry also is designed for maximum oil rejection in order to facili-
tate longer bath life and easier removal of accumulating soil.

Manual Electrostatic Spray Gun
Delivers High Transfer Efficiency
The Nanogun-MX Airmix manual electrostatic spray gun from
Sames Kremlin combines electrostatic spray technology for liq-
uid paints with Airmix medium- to high-pressure spray technolo-
gy to deliver a uniform film
build thickness and high
transfer efficiency. This
high transfer efficiency
contributes to a quick
return on investment while improving
productivity, maintenance
costs and VOC reduction
for total cost manage-
ment, the company
says. The gun is said
to be well-suited for
high-production indus-
tries like aerospace,
agriculture, metallic construction,
furniture, transportation and energy.
Adapted to paints with an average viscosity, the gun is available
in both 120-bar and 200-bar pressure versions. The GNM 6080 con-
trol module is designed to be user-friendly and easy to maintain.
