Internal Pipe Coating Provides
Chemical Resistance in High Temperatures
Axalta Coating Systems' Nap-Gard 7-0016 internal pipe coating
is a thermosetting epoxy powder designed to provide chemi-
cal resistance in temperatures ranging to 302°F (150°C). The
high-temperature, corrosion-resistant coating is said to be a
lower-cost alternative to metal-chrome alloys for protecting the
internal diameter of oil and gas pipelines.
The coating can be used on external and internal oil, gas and
water pipelines with single, dual and multi-layer application op-
tions. It and other power coatings in the line also can be used to
provide corrosion protection for valves, fittings and rebar.

Flexible Paint Robot Creates Consistent Finish
The six-axis MPX3500 robot from Yaskawa Motoman is designed
to efficiently create a smooth, consistent finish in painting
and coating applications. The robot's flexible, compact design
makes it well-suited for painting a variety of parts, including
those with recessed, curved or contoured surfaces.
The robot offers a 15-kg wrist payload capacity and a 25-kg
upper arm payload capacity, enabling spray equipment to be
mounted directly onto its arm. It also features a 2,700-mm
horizontal reach and ±0.15 mm
repeatability.
