The division, located at Pine Island, Minnesota, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lincoln Industries. This name change marks a continued strengthen- ing of Lincoln Industries' position as the leading supplier of exhaust tubes in the United States, the company says. "When Lincoln Industries acquired DS Manufacturing two years ago, we were excited about how the people of DS would impact our success," Lincoln chairman and CEO Marc LeBaron says. "The acquisition allowed us to lever- age DS Manufacturing's capabilities in small-diameter-tube fabrication and further strengthened Lincoln Industries. As a growth-oriented company, we are looking forward to expanding our capabilities and our workforce at Pine Island." Refinish Coatings has received General Motors Global Refinish approval for its Glasurit and R-M paint brands, having met or exceeded all refinish standards established by GM. The company says both the Glasurit premium paint line and R-M productivity line passed dozens of tests to attain this approval: hardness after cure, chip resistance, humidity adhesion, temperature cycle, gas resistance, chemical resis- tance, weather resistance and more. According to the company, only refinish systems ap- proved by GM from primer to clearcoat can be used for GM warranty repairs. Marc LeBaron DS Manufacturing, located at Pine Island, Minnesota, became a wholly owned subsidiary of Lincoln Industries two years ago. Systems integrator George Koch Sons has purchased assets of Engineered Finishing Systems (EFS). Koch, which was established in 1873, is based in Evansville, Indiana, and also has operations in Caledonia, Michigan, as well as Queretaro, Mexico, and Lichfield, England. Based in Crystal Lake, Illinois, EFS offers customized, turnkey finishing solutions for liquid and powder coating, as well as electro- coat. Koch officials say the purchase adds porcelain enamel expertise to its portfolio of automated finishing systems, which include liquid and powder coatings, electrocoat, anod- izing and plating.
