BECOME A MEMBER AT NASF.ORG NASF Education and Training Web-based Airline & Aerospace Finishing – Part 2 Oct. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30, 2013 12 - 2 pm ET As part of this efort, ACWA is concerned not only with the discharge of conventional wastes such as hexavalent chromium and cadmium, but also the discharges associated with the new technologies that are replacing these processes with alternatives such as zinc-nickel alloys, nickel fuorocarbon, highvelocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spray, and pulse plating. ACWA urges to EPA to assess how these new technologies should be addressed in pretreatment standards for the metal fnishing industry, both on the federal and local level. EPA is reviewing the letter and will discussing priorities with state water regulators this fall. The NASF has reached out to ACWA leadership and EPA oficials to review the options being considered. If you have any questions or would like additional information on these developments and their potential impacts on the surface fnishing industry, please contact Jef Hannapel at jhannapel@thepolicygroup.com, or Christian Richter at crichter@thepolicy group.com. Join us in October for Part 2 of this course being conducted in eight two-hour sessions. Students will receive a course manual containing presentation slides and additional notes prior to the start of the frst session. Don't worry if you can't attend all eight sessions.
