Phosphorus-Free Pretreatment Suited for
Multiple Substrates
Chemetall US, a global business unit of the Coatings divi-
sion of BASF, will introduce its Gardobond X 4548 pretreat-
ment, which can be used with multiple substrates, and is
compatible with mild steel equipment and tap water. The
product is phosphorus-free and contains no regulated
heavy metals.
The company also will introduce Gardobond A 4002, an iron
phosphate with a wide operating range said to make it easy to
use and control.

Phosphate-Free Conversion Coatings
Simultaneously Clean, Coat
Bulk Chemicals will showcase its Zirca-Sil SW-1 and Zirca-Sil
HD-1 phosphate-free, zirconium-based conversion coatings,
which are designed to simultaneously clean and coat metals.
The liquid, non-hazardous products can be applied by hand
wand or conventional spray systems.

Anti-Slip Powder Coating Enhances Traction
Designed for hazardous slip-prone areas, Axalta's Alesta Sure-
Grip powder coating is designed to hold up to heavy traffic and
harsh chemicals, maintaining durability and weatherability.
According to the company, the coating's high-traction detailing
makes it well-suited for metal decking, ramps and railings, as
well as hand tools and other surfaces on which slips may be a
primary concern.
Applications include manufacturing, industrial production,
aviation, food and beverage processing, and infrastructure.
