The robot is equipped with paint application technology for 1K and 2K applications, high and low pressure, as well as water- and solvent-borne paint. According to the company, the interaction of robot and high- speed rotating atomizer offers maximum repeatability and continuous precision. The paint can be charged by high voltage, which is said to improve transfer efficiency. The robot's modular design and lifetime lubrication minimize maintenance requirements, the company says. When outfitted with stroke sensors, the system monitors pump displacement, eliminating material contact and resulting in reduced wear and minimum cleaning costs. The system also can be equipped for low-pH material or acid-catalyst applications. The multi-color mixing system is designed to provide accurate mixing ratios from 0.1:1 through 50:1 and highly precise flow-rate dosing. It also can be configured as a 3K mixing system in which a third component, automatically dosed, allows the material to be pre- reduced or accelerated automatically, saving hand-mixing labor.
