NEWs FINISHING INDUSTRY ON THE MOVE 10 MARCH 2017 — PFonline.com FINISHING INDUSTRY ON THE MOVE NEWS Winona Powder Coating completes the expansion of its large- volume batch powder coating line to handle products up to 32 feet long. The 167,000-square-foot facility currently houses powder coating lines, sand blasting, wheelabrating and the expanded batch system. Arlington Plating Co. (APC) completes a $2 million investment and installation of an anodizing line at its Palatine, Illinois, head- quarters that reflects the increased demand for aluminum anod- izing. With 44 process tanks, the 5,000-square-foot automated line produces MIL-A-8625 Type II (sulfuric) anodizing with high pH sealants, die coloring and electro-color capabilities, in addition to bright dip, lacquer/post-dip and satin finishing applications. PPG acquires assets from automotive refinish coatings company Futian Xinshi. Financial terms were not disclosed. Futian is a privately-owned company based in the Guangdong province of China. Futian distributes its products in China through a network of more than 200 distributors. PPG will acquire key assets of the company, including Futian's trade- marks, product technology and customer list. PRAB, manufacturer of conveyor and chip systems, welcomes Keith Rouse as the new director of marketing for global operations. A Michigan State University graduate, Rouse has experience in print, digital, social, mobile and content marketing, brand management, ROI analysis, analytics and market research. Surface finishing additive manufacturer Columbia Chemical announces the appoint- ment of four positions: Jenn Scott has been appointed technical service specialist for Chicago and will be responsible for the customer relationships in Illinois and Wisconsin. Dennis Borsuk has been added as sales representa- tive for Cleveland, focusing on prospective customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Tom Mastalerz has been added as sales representative for Tennessee and will be building relationships for the company in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. Joe Vanderberg has been added as sales representative for Texas, responsible for devel- oping customer relationships within the state.
