Columbia Chemical Expands Into
Decorative Plating Market
Columbia Chemical will debut into the decorative plat-
ing market with the release of two new product lines:
NiCOL bright and semi-bright decorative nickel plating
processes and TriCOL trivalent chromium plating process.
Columbia says that NiCOL combines superior leveling
and brightness with low stress and excellent ductility,
and that TriCOL features great plating speed and bright,
white color.
"The innovative and customer-focused approach we
have brought to zinc plating over the
past 40 years is now being carried over
into the decorative plating market,"
says Columbia Chemical President
Brett Larick.
"Not only did we build the decora-
tive chemistry, we also built the team to
go with it. We have always maintained
a strong zinc plating team and now we
also have a strong decorative plating
team in place."
Jefrey Boehmer recently joined Co-
lumbia Chemical as technical support
manager and is working with Vice Presi-
dent of Technologies Mark Schario, Lab
Supervisor Matt Schario, and Research
Manager Larry Seger "to exceed market
expectations for decorative plating
chemistries and service," according to
Larick.
"We look forward to continuing
to make history in zinc plating while
breaking new ground in the decorative
arena," he says
Columbia Chemical is one of the
world's largest manufacturers of sur-
face fnishing additives.
