I N N O VAT I O N S 48 SEPTEMBER 2015 — pfonline.com EPI's E-Brite 50/50 Simplifes Silver Plating Electrochemical Products Inc.'s (EPI) E-Brite 50/50 is a cyanide-free alkaline silver plating process that creates fine- grained, smooth, dense and hard plating for your industrial silver. This process has great bonding properties that allow for better adhesion. The process is cost-effective, easy to control and cyanide-free. EPI's stable bath chemistry requires no ad- ditional strike tank, making the process a single tank, room temperature operation. A+ Walter Surface Technologies Surfox Passivation Tester Incorporates Cloud-Based Platforms Walter Surface Technologies' Surfox smart passivation tester uses cloud-based data collection to analyze passivation levels in stain- less steel. The passivation tester includes an app that measures chemical levels to determine the degree of passivation in which the stainless steel item is currently contained. The app enables machinists to capture and store data, and use telemetry to ana- lyze changing chemical levels during passivation. Technicians can then map the oxidation process and track the progression of the passivation state and identify if the piece has been fully passiv- ated to avoid rust and corrosion.
