NEW PRODUCTS Pump Systems Suited for Range of Chemical Applications Solutions Protect Against Microorganism Growth During Plating Pre-engineered pump systems from Walchem, Iwaki America Inc. provide chemical feed solutions for a range of applications and are available in four confgurations, from economical, basic systems to full-featured redundant backup systems. The core of every system is a rugged, chemical-resistant pump stand molded from UV-stabilized, linear low-density polyethylene. Components added to the stand to create the various systems include calibration columns, back-pressure/anti-siphon valves, pressure-relief valves, pulsation dampeners, gauges, ball valves and Y strainers. An auto-fll option provides the plumbing and valves to enable the metering pump to fll the calibration column for applications when fooded suction is not available. A foor-mount design is standard, but the compact pump systems also are wall mountable and ofer large-capacity spill containment with a drain designed into each stand. Aqualac AM, Metex AF additive and Metex AM rinse aid all are formulated to provide broad-spectrum protection against enteric, pseudomonas, staphylococcus, yeast and mold. In addition to its antibacterial properties, Aqualac AM lacquer technology acts as a humectant and skin-conditioning agent that lends moisturization, emollience and wetting properties. It also contains a UV tracer for ease of detection. Aqualac AM is well-suited for decorative applications in wire goods, consumer products and interior automotive. Metex AF combines an antifungal agent and an antimicrobial agent to prevent bacterial and fungal growth in rinse waters and rinsing equipment. It can be used in both stagnant and fowing rinses, and can be analyzed for ease of process control. Metex AM rinse aid is best-suited for applications where antimicrobial properties are desired without the use of a lacquer. The antimicrobial agent is incorporated into the fnal rinse with another product that enables it to adhere to fnished parts, enabling an antimicrobial coating to be applied in decorative, functional and engineering applications.
