NEWS FINISHING INDUSTRY ON THE MOVE Petroferm has hired Dirk Budde as regional sales manager, Europe. He will be responsible for sales of the company's Axarel, Bioact, CleanSafe and Lenium cleaning product brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and will help grow its European electronics and precision markets. EPSI has added to its sales team. Tom Evans will control and prospect for sales and business throughout California and Nevada; Dean Calin has been appointed inside sales manager; and Jay Freeman will service the upper Midwest, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Nebraska. EPSI also recently opened a new ofice in Osnabrük, Germany, where Key Account Manager Christian Bierwagen will represent EPSI's product line to the automotive, aerospace, electronics and other industries across Europe. AkzoNobel Powder Coatings' Interpon D3000 Fluoromax architectural coatings have been awarded a Certifcate of Material Excellence by Material ConneXion and accepted into its library of advanced and sustainable materials and processes. Coventya's Coventec P8755B has been approved to General Motors' GMW 16730 specifcation for use on small fasteners used to secure interior and exterior parts that require a cosmetic, glossy, black fnish. Coventec P7755B has been approved to Chrysler's PS-12182 standard, which requires a decorative, glossy black fnish with corrosion protection and UV resistance on tapping screws, trim screws and other applications. Jennifer Bochenek has joined Wagner Industrial Solutions as a purchasing agent to help the company reduce costs, manage inventory levels and expedite delivery of goods. Hentzen Coatings recently held a gala to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its founding where The American Coatings Association honored company President and CEO Albert Hentzen with a Meritorious Service Award. The company also announced the establishment of Hentzen de Mexico and the opening of an ofice/warehouse facility in Queretaro, Mexico. Fischer Technology has named David Carreiro as sales manager. He previously worked for Thermo Fisher Scientifc in various roles, including sales and product management.
