Silicone Masking Tape Bonds without Adhesive Mocap's silicone rubber X-Treme Tape is a self-bonding, flexible masking tape that stretches and wraps to conform to irregular shapes and features without adhesive, eliminating the need for secondary cleanup after high-temperature processing. Available in a variety of widths, lengths and colors, the tape is designed to protect and mask during plating and conformal coating, as well as high-temperature powder coating. According to Mocap, in many cases, it can eliminate the requirement for a "custom" mask. It will resist temperatures as high as 500°F (260°C) and remove easily, the company says.
