to confirm this notion, as 230 exhibitors from 16 countries highlighted their latest technology to nearly 4,400 visitors from 39 countries who travelled to the show seeking specific answers to the real cleaning issues they face on the shop floor every day. Chuck Sexton, sales manager for industrial products at U.S. cleaning manufacturer Kyzen, says the show is beneficial for his company. Weve been able to establish very strong contacts with visitors from the automotive and railway industries, from medical engineering, remanufacturing, the electronics industry and other sectors as well, Sexton says. parts2clean allows for good networking with system manufacturers and producers of machining media such as cutting fluids and cooling lubricants. Trends in industrial cleaning technology also became apparent at the show. For example, exhibitors and visitors said more emphasis is being placed on the issues of residual contamination and the evaluation of targeted cleanliness. In addition to controlling particulate cleanliness, monitoring of film-like residual contamination also is becoming more and more significant in this respect. User requirements are headed toward automated cleanliness inspection in this area. We presented a solution for inline cleanliness inspection in accordance with VDA 19 at parts2clean, which met with great interest, says Gaudenz Gron of Drr Ecoclean GmbH. He adds that a further trend towards increasing interest in cleaning with solvents is becoming apparent as well. A solvent renaissance appears to be taking place in many applications which demand high-quality, precision cleaning, says Steffen Scker, business manager at Safechem Europe GmbH. With clear signs that business is on the rise for manufacturers in the U.S.and as new orders come inthe show was a good opportunity for companies to re-evaluate current technologies and processes with an eye towards strengthening and building for the future. For those who were not able to attend, we have assembled some highlights from the 2012 parts2clean show. There also will be an opportunity here in the U.S. in April to get more information on cleaning with the Precision Machining Technology Show in Columbus, Ohio, which will feature a Cleaning Pavilion as well as the Parts Cleaning Expo (PCx), an extended series of conference sessions covering everything from the fundamentals of cleaning, to the environmental rules and regulations coming down the pipeline. n Trusted Solutions For High Reliability Cleaning AXAREL | BIOACT | LENIUM | CleanSafe AVIATION PRECISION METAL AUTOMOTIVE MEDICAL Advanced Products For Advanced Cleaning A Vantage Specialty Chemicals Business petroferm.com | techservice@petroferm.com | 800-432-7187 | Scan QR Code For Product Brochure pfonline.com 35
